That's showbusiness

Bursting beads and frothing foam,
Lotions, potions, palettes of rainbow,
Sequinned treasures I bring home,
Creating myself for you, for another show.
White musk and spray set my hair,
Plucked tufts are waxed and cooled with ice,
Long nails unbitten; never bare.
Arched eyebrows, fake lashes are worth the price.
Glitz, the glamour it’s all so fun,
I do it for you watching me, every night
I see you standing there; I know you’re the one,
I can perform knowing, it feels so right.

You say you can’t fall for me, I know what you mean.
It would be complicated being in love with a dirty drag queen.
